About The Designer
My name is Kimberly Morrow but I am frequently referred to as an "old soul." Like most of you I have a high appreciation for vintage eras. However, this might come to quite a surprise as I am only in my twenties. In fact, my favorite past time is browsing through antique stores in search for the perfect treasure. I also have grown up with a very creative mindset. I have tried many forms of art such as painting, drawing, sculpting, knitting, and creating jewelry. As a little girl, I would stand in awe at the assortment of beads that would line the isles of the craft stores. This love for creating and passion for vintage has inspired me to create Virtue Vintage so that I can share with you some of my very own treasures in hopes that they will turn into yours.
Aside from being different from many other twenty year olds in the fact that I like vintage, I also have a non-curable neurological movement disorder. This disorder has not yet been diagnosed as my case is rare and somewhat extreme. It currently causes the entire right side of my body, from my head to my toes, to move involuntarily. While this disorder hinders me from many past times, I have found that creating jewelry has been very therapeutic and beneficial for me. However, I aspire to not only benefit myself, but to benefit others as well. With each purchase I will donate 10% of the profit to the WE MOVE Foundation. This foundation is a non-profit organization committed to educating and informing healthcare professionals, patients, and the public about neurological movement disorders. Lastly, each and every piece of jewelry can be created into a standard bracelet as well as an attachment for a Medical ID tag. I myself have to wear a Medical ID tag and was disappointed in the bland appearance of them. After doing some research I I discovered that I could make a Medical ID tag look fashionable and almost unrecognizable. All of the attachments have lobster clasps on both ends so that they can be changed out according to what your preferences are. Any style seen on the site can be converted just as long as the appropriate measurements are given to ensure that the bracelet fits appropriately.
